We’re excited to introduce the Victory League — our new name and expanded vision for what was previously known as the Opportunity Program. This refreshed approach brings even more access to play through dedicated boys and girls programming, mentorship from coaches, and structured league-style sports experiences.

Who We Serve

We serve school-age youth from diverse backgrounds, focusing on those experiencing financial and social barriers to participation.

Our Approach

At Can Play we offer inclusive, accessible, low-cost recreational sports programs for all kids. We create supportive environments that foster growth, confidence, and belonging. Through partnerships, we expand access and enhance our programs, ensuring every child can play without limits. Our programs are built on four core principles: Grow, Develop, Believe, and Play, helping kids build confidence, learn new skills, form friendships, and discover their full potential in a safe environment.

New This Season

Get ready for MORE game play! Our new Victory League brings the excitement of game play to practice. Kids will be placed on teams to experience the excitement of the game, while building confidence, improving their skills, forming new friendships and playing without limits!

Our Programs

After School Programs

We are excited to partner with Des Moines Public Schools and West Des Moines Public Schools (Crestview) to offer fun recreational activities and play-based programming on "early out" days.

Boys Victory League Ages (6-9/10-12)

Our new Victory League offers low-cost recreational sports for boys ages 6–9 and 10–12. Each season includes weekly practices and exciting league play, with coach mentors who focus on player growth, teamwork, and confidence. Players will build skills, celebrate wins with plenty of high 5’s, and learn how to be great teammates on and off the field

Girls Victory Programs (H.E.R.S) Ages 6-9/10-12

Our Girls Victory League will incorporate our H.E.R.S. principles (Health, Empowerment, Respect & Sports) to offer low-cost recreational sports for girls ages 6–9 and 10–12. Each season features weekly practices and league play, led by coach mentors who focus on building confidence, teamwork, and growth. Players will develop skills, build lasting friendships, and grow their confidence on and off the field.
